What do you love about being a therapist?
Being able to help women and men find a sense of freedom and liberation from diet culture is the most rewarding feeling. Hearing clients tell me they have lived their life feeling less than because of their body shape and size is heartbreaking. This often couples with harmful beliefs about food that results in restrictive fear based food choices. Teaching clients that they are more than their bodies and helping them find food freedom again is a priceless gift.

What type of clients do you love to see?
Anyone who wants to heal!

What’s the most fulfilling part about seeing your clients?
Getting to be a part of their journey. Hearing about the changes in their life for the better and supporting them when they are struggling and need it the most.

What is your current favorite inspirational quote?
“We cannot unpack weight stigma without discussing thin privilege.”
-bodyhonornutrition

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Your emergency is not my urgency. In this field, setting boundaries is key key key to prevent burnout.

What are some of your favorite ways to relax & recharge?
Combination of comfy clothes, favorite meal, family and enjoy it all with a favorite movie.

What’s one fun fact about you?
I ran the Chicago marathon!
