Victorian Village in Homer Glen has launched a new educational series, bringing a variety of topics to help seniors navigate living options. These sessions will be held at their Community Center and begin at 3:00pm.
August 17 – Senior Medicare Patrol
This session will help you learn Medicare basics, as well as how to prevent Medicare fraud and abuse. The presentation will be given by Benefits Access Specialists from AgeGuide Northeastern Illinois and Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet. Both agencies have been a vital resource and advocate for the aging population for over 45 years. Please RSVP by August 15.
September 7 – What Aging Adults Need to Know
This session will present resources and services available to older adults and veterans to enhance quality of life. Learn form the experts at Catholic Charities, Dioceses of Joliet. Please RSVP by September 2.
October 5 – Active Aging
This session will focus on healthy living, including a holistic view of healthy aging, what this means to you, and the small changes you can make that can be a BIG different in how you age. It will be presented by the Well-Being Specialist from our trusted rehabilitation partners at Symbria Rehab. Please RSVP by October 3.
November 2 – Outsmart the Scammers
This session will help you prevent being scammed. Incidents of fraud are dramatically on the rise, and scammers’ tactics are more complex. Nobody is immune. Out partners at Edward Jones will help you learn the steps you need to take to protect yourself. RSVP by October 31.
