There’s fun for every Lemontster, big or small, local or honorary visitor in October in the Village of Lemont.  The Lemont Area Historical Society, Lemont Park District, Lemont Fire Prevention District, The Forge, Heritage Corridor Business Alliance, and the Village of Lemont are teaming up for the season to bring family friendly entertainment.

October 1: Halloween Blood Drive

October 1:  Fire District Open House
Fire Station One, 15900 New Avenue, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Fire Prevention Week runs from October 9 – October 15 and this year’s theme is “Learn the Sounds of Fire Safety. October 7:  Drive-In Movie | Ghostbusters: Afterlife
Lemont Park District Centennial Park, (South Quad Parking Lot)

October 8:  Witches Walk  – SOLD OUT
Historic Downtown Lemont, 5:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

October 15:  Trick or Treat Trail | Ages 2 – 12 Only – SOLD OUT
Lemont Park District Centennial Park, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Multiple Time Slots Available.  Must Register in Advance! Registration #860902-A1 through A8 (dependent on time slot).  Join the fun at the Trick or Treat Trail! Participants will enjoy walking the trail around the Centennial Park path, receiving treats on the trail that can ensure safe fun! Be sure to wear your Halloween costume and bring your own trick-or-treating bags.  All children must pre-register for a time slot.  ONE adult permitted per child. 50 children per time slot. October 15/16 | The Forge Celebrates Halloween | Starting at 2:00 p.m.
Join the Forge Fam as we celebrate the spookiest time of the year with The Forge Celebrates Halloween! Open to monsters of all ages, put on your best costume and come out for two fun weekends (October 15/16 & 29/30) of hayrides, ghost stories, self-guided scavenger hunts, movies, and more! $15 / person. October 21:  Hocus Pocus Movie Night
Lemont Historical Society Museum, 7:00 p.m. | Doors Open at 6:30 p.m.
306 Lemont Street.  Come see the Old Stone Church magically transform into Salem and watch the Halloween cult classic Hocus Pocus. The 1993 Disney hit is fun for all ages! October 22:  Village of Lemont’s Halloween Hoedown

12:30 p.m. Line-Up for Parade & Costume Contest

October 24:  Craft Night of the Living Dead
Lemont Public Library, 50 E. Wend Street, 4:00 p.m.
Zombify dolls to your heart’s discontent. Tweens/teens can use acrylic paints to decorate dolls and the doll clothing to resemble zombies or other monsters. For more information, visit www.lemontlibrary.org.

October 27:  Paranormal Investigation with Ghostly Voices
Lemont Public Library, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
